Here’s the story, of a lovely LAdy,
Who was bringing up three very lovely boys.
Two of them were human, like their mother,
The other one in fur.

Here’s a story, of a group of ladies.
Working in marketing and PR.
Two of them, were under thirty;
The other two were more.

Then the one day, the LAdy met these women,
And they knew it was much more than a lunch.
That this group would somehow work together.
That’s the way we all became the Audience bunch.

Laurie Anne Plax, founder
Starting Audience was a leap L.A. was excited to make! Combining her in-house, corporate experience with her entrepreneurial spirit, L.A. loves working with her clients to help them grow their organizations and build visibility.

Her diverse background includes a leadership role as Vice President, North America for Melcrum (research and publishing,) where she was responsible for the marketing, business development and sales strategy for North America. Previously she was Marketing Manager for IQPC Chicago (training) and held marketing and account management positions for Marsulex Inc. (chemicals). Some would say if you can market sulfuric acid successfully you can market anything!

LA lives in Chicago’s Central Lake View area with her husband Ted, sons Ryan and Benny and their dog Digby. She is active in the community supporting public education and the professional advancement of women.

Jill Kahan, marketing director
Jill comes to Audience with an extensive track record in brand building and integrated marketing for clients ranging from prestige to packaged goods.

Most recently she was a V.P., Global Account Director at Energy BBDO in Chicago where she was responsible for new product launches, communications strategy and implementation for client Bayer Healthcare. Jill lives in Lincoln Park in Chicago with her husband and son. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Depaul's Kellstadt Center and is volunteering for the Taproot Foundation--a B2B marketing concern that provides pro-bono services to Non-Profit Organizations.
